Anchoring has been on my mind for as long as I can remember. On the one hand it is this unknown entity when sailing and brings an element of uncertainty. On the other hand, it is an art and demands great skill. Even when you anchor well, you are never 100% sure that the anchor will hold.

Swiss Ocean Tech Ltd. is a start-up incorporated in 2020 to create and market AnchorGuardian, the very first worldwide solution that monitors the position and absolute movements of a ship’s anchor. We have formed a multidisciplinary team of 8 seasoned professionals, highly experienced in product development, sensor technology, electrical engineering, development of embedded systems and algorithms, as well as in product release, export sales, supply chain management and communications.

In 2022, Swiss Ocean Tech was nominated as a finalist in the Oceans Awards, held in partnership with BOAT International and the Blue Marine Foundation, celebrating the achievements of individuals, groups and organisations from around the world dedicated to restoring the health of our oceans. In the spring of 2020, Swiss Ocean Tech won the silver award in Switzerland’s leading start-up competition with venture.ch.
